We’re growing in the Life Sciences and Medtech space, where the stakes are especially high: assistance and surgical robots, continuous manufacturing automation and new waves of autonomous medical and pharma systems that need to demonstrate continuous safety, cybersecurity, and regulatory compliance before hospitals, manufacturers, and regulators will trust them at scale. Our platform pairs automation software with expert guidance so Medtech and BioPharma companies can move fast without cutting corners on safety or compliance.
We’re growing our go-to-market team and looking for a BDR Sales Engineer to help us grow in this exciting industry from the ground up — someone who wants real ownership over a new effort, not just a territory they inherited.
The Role
As hybrid of role combining “Business Development” and “Product Expert” responsibilities, you’ll help grow AI and Autonomy Governance sales by wearing two hats simultaneously — finding the right people at companies building/deploying medical devices and robots, automating drug manufacturing lines or building AI models to speed discovery of new medicines, getting their attention, and turning that interest into a sale or pilot project with Rizkly. This is a builder’s role: you’ll have real input into how we prospect, pitch and engage organizations to win more and faster.
What You’ll Do
- Prospect profiling — Research and build target lists of Medtech and Life Sciences companies likely to need safety/compliance automation — medical devices, rehab robotics makers, drug manufacturing automation providers, and facilities/logistics leaders that need to continuously monitor operational technology (OT) — and identify the right buyer personas within them (e.g., VP Engineering, Head of Quality/Regulatory Affairs, CISO)
- Outbound campaign execution — Run email outreach sequences and LinkedIn-based prospecting (Sales Navigator searches, connection requests, InMail) to generate qualified conversations with decision-makers
- Product demos — Run first-call product demonstrations, articulating Rizkly’s value in plain terms. A technical background is very helpful to answering certain implementation questions. Experience in BioTech/Medtech/Life Sciences would be awesome but not required. We’ll train you on the Rizkly and the regulatory landscape
- Sales proposals — Work with with internal team and prospects to structure sales orders, RFP responses and pilot project plans that demonstrate Rizkly’s value to their specific environments
What We’re Looking For
- 1–30 years of professional work experience (sales engineering for software and/or mechanical products — direct SaaS sales experience is a plus but not required)
- Comfort with cold outreach and rejection — you’ll hear crickets a lot before you hear “yes,” and you don’t take it personally
- Strong written communication — your emails and LinkedIn messages need to earn a reply
- Self-starter who’s comfortable with ambiguity — we are a startup, not a script-and-quota call center
- Genuine curiosity about Medtech, robotics, maufacturing automation, cold storage, regulatory compliance, or B2B tech (you don’t need to be an expert on day one — we’ll get you up to speed on the industry and regulatory landscape)
- Familiarity with, or strong interest in, medtech, life sciences, robotics, or regulated manufacturing environments is a plus, though not required
Compensation
This is a commission-driven role with equity participation — built for someone who wants direct upside tied to the deals they help create, with ownership in a company at the forefront of safety and security software for autonomy.
